Naisipan lang namin ni Steven pumunta (who, by the way, was coerced into going here) dahil naisip namin na ang pagpunta dito ay isang unique experience. Alam niyo naman ako- always game for multiculturalism! And shet, experience talaga siya. As in gusto naming maligo at magbabad sa Zonrox right afterwards.

Thank you to everyone who remembered. I definitely felt the love even though I'm far away. Mahal ko kayong lahat. I have no words, except thank you for being a part of my 24 years of gayness.

Went to Six Flags in Vallejo to see fireworks. After which, we spent the next two hours being stuck in the parking lot due to unbelievable road congestion, prompting us to sing a medley of Disney, broadway and 90s music to preserve our sanity in the barely moving chaos. We also welcomed a new family member, whom we christened as Burden (Bernadette + Daniel, teehee). We ended up at IHOP at 12 midnight where we ate ridiculously salty meals that brought us a step closer to our death beds. What a fun night!
Kaninang umaga, ito ang unang balita sa News Feed ko:
Aba aba aba! What eez deez? The other day, press release ng kapatid ko, special friends lang sila ng bagong guy na-dina-date niya. Ngayon, aba, may level up na nagaganap- in a relationship na ang loka!
Sa mga hindi knows, nakipagbreak na ang ate ko sa kanyang long-time, twice-engaged boyfriend-slash-alipin about a month and a half ago after four years in the making. Ang press release ng ate ko sa kanyang breakup: "Gusto ko maging malaya." MG? May ganon? Unhappy wife ang drama? Hahaha
Then, an hour later, inupdate ng ex-boyfriend ng ate ko ang kanyang facebook status:
O di ba, kalokah! Yan ang mga usong statement ngayon: If you love someone, set her free. If she finds someone else, publish your bitterness on your Facebook News Feed! Why not, Facebook was created for drama like this.
And then... two hours later, ganito na ang itsura ng aking facebook feed:
O di ba mga bakla, hindi naman mashadong subtle ang kanilang ways sa pagpaparinig sa isa't isa.
Anyway, congrats sa ate ako. Na-excite ako para sa kanya. Lalung-lalo na dahil ito ang kayang first AFAM bufra (*foreigner*, in straight tagalog). Nahawa ata siya sa aking preferential option for the white. Goodluck sa cross-over ganda!! Masarap yan, i mean, masaya yan!
Na-eexcite din ako kasi this means: kailangang lumevel-up ng nanay ko sa pag-eenglish. Naaalala ko nung kami pa ng bufra kong puti. Walang nasabi ang nanay ko kundi, "O-key...O-key...O-KEY!", as if yun lang ang salita sa English dictionary.
Tinaguriang Gay Mecca of the West, idinaos ng San Francisco ang taunang Gay Pride Parade kung saan libu-libong tao ang dumagsa upang ipagdiwang ang samu't saring kulay ng aming komunidad.
The reason why I love San Francisco is because the gay community is not tolerated, but rather celebrated and accepted lovingly as a unique and important fabric of society.
Naloka ako sa dami ng mga hot papas, at talaga namang kinulang ang espayso ng aking memory card sa dami ng mga kodak-worthy scenes sa gay pride. Na sensory overload ako sa dami ng kabaklaang present, at take note in complete attendance ang bawat color ng rainbow flag. From pa-min to screaming, bear to twink, promiscuous to married, nandoon ang mga lola niyo, day! At siyempre nandoon din ang mga gay-loving straight friends and families natin, ang mga outside lookers, at ang mga bicurious case of benjamin bottoms.
went to Napa for some cheese and wine-tasting. it was a beautiful, sunny day so we decided to have a picnic, too. of course, i took advantage of the natural light and had a photoshoot with my wonderful family. :)
hindi ko malilimutan itong linggong ito: back-to-back celebration ng birthday/ US trip ni Anya at ng 2nd year anniversary ko sa US. Wala kaming ginawa buong linggo kung hindi kumain, matulog, mag-reminisce, magbastusan at mag-picture. Buhay baboy much?
long walks along the bay trail + uncontrollable laughter on the bus + thai food + indian food + japanese food + jollibee + cheesecake factory + endless reminiscing + near-death train experience + SLR photoshoot + snuggling in bed + dirty talk + missing your flight + GILF + picking me up at work every 5 PM + boy culture + golda! + the plot thickens...the saga continues + and so much more. :o) thank you for these wonderful memories, anya!
Got myself my very first DSLR camera to celebrate my first year grad school survival, as well as my second year anniversary in the US. Siyempre, nag-volunteer naman kaagad si mommy at si anya na mag-model para sa aking bagong camera.
